Tulip field in the beautiful Skagit Valley

HdN is located in Mount Vernon, Washington which was voted the 'Best little town in the USA' in 1997. Rarely will you find more beautiful scenery than is found in the Skagit Valley of Northwestern Washington State, 60 miles north of Seattle. You will find fertile farmland, lakes, streams, rivers, saltwater tide pools, mountain trails, snowcapped peaks and Peruvian horses! Skagit Valley is known as the 'tulip capital' with thousands of flowers carpeting the valley in early Spring.

Gil and I were introduced to the Peruvian horse breed in 1989. We were extremely impressed with these horses and just had to own a couple of these animals. Today we own about 20 Peruvian horses. We are a family owned business and live on the property. In September of 2002 we decided our home was too big for just the two of us and built a smaller home. Our daughter Renee, her husband Rob and their three children Jessica, Josh and Jake sold their home and now occupy the larger home here on the ranch. We're one big happy family!
